„Progress Handels Ges.m.b.H.“ is an Austrian company with limited liability and was founded in 1997. It is trading various goods with countries of the former Soviet Union. From 1997 through 2005 big quantities of meat products were delivered to meat processing companies in Yekaterinburg and Moscow and toUkraine. Equipment for industrial processing, construction material and machinery, wood-processing machinery and spare parts – this is by no means a complete list of goods exported to the former Soviet Union.
Processed wood, agricultural machinery (disc harrows) and „Lada“ automobiles and their spare parts are included in the list of goods imported by the company from Russia into European countries.
Since 2004 special attention was given to the provision of services for Russian small and medium size enterprises in establishing direct contacts with Austrian and European entrepreneurs.
Such measures are implemented in close cooperation with the Austrian Economic Chamber, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour and the Institute for Adult Education run by the Austrian Economic Chamber.
Agreements were entered into with a number of Russian enterprises (BDM Agro – agricultural machinery, NPP „EMSi“ – security equipment, OOO „Korporatsia INTek“ – micro-dispersion copper powder).
